Not far from Padang Bai, along the coast road, is the Bat Cave Temple.  The temple is an active religious site for visiting Balinese, and is kept in good order with many ceremonies taking place throughtout the day.

The bats themselves are generally a bit hard to see, as they cluster deep in the cave.  It is it not allowed to visit inside the cave, but you can see some of them fluttering around the entrance.

Across the road from the temple is the ocean-side, and a series of small food warungs.
